This application is designed to track the respiratory rate of pets (such as cats and dogs), measured in breaths per minute.

It supports multiple users managing records for the same pet and allows sharing data with others, facilitating collaborative care and recordkeeping.

The resting respiratory rate is a valuable clinical indicator, especially for conditions affecting the heart and lungs, such as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) in cats. Regular monitoring can improve long-term prognosis and enhance communication between pet owners and veterinary professionals, aiding in more informed medication adjustments.

The app is provided free of charge, utilizing a free tier of Google Firebase Database. Future updates may include advertisements, premium features, or donation options.

For data analysis, users can import records via the web interface at https://lifeoverflow.github.io/maolife-web/, where charts can be viewed.
